Patience is Learned

I love to stand in line at the grocery store and watch the faces of those around me. It never fails someone starts looking around to find another face that is upset so that they can vent and start trouble.

Funny thing is 99% of the time the line moves through in about 2 minutes. Those who chose to get upset are likely to stay that way for a while, raising their blood pressure and adrenaline. For 2 minutes of your time, is it the cashier's fault that they are running late?

What if when you are standing in line you take the time to practice your breathing, or just enjoy being still? I will have to tell you that it will make your shopping experience that much better. Make sure you plan ahead and are not in a panic to begin with.

Try it next time you are at the store, find joy in a quiet moment at the store. Just don't look at the guy next to you - he will probably ruin your experience.

Wishing you peaceful thoughts today,

Amy
