It's a Sugar Overload!

Tonight my husband and his friends are all glued to the TV watching the Superbowl. We have three men on the couch, and enough food to feed twenty. They have always been this way. They think about their Superbowl food for weeks ahead.

As for me I have walked through the house nibbling a cookie, some chips, some cake. I have hit the sugar overload. It makes me feel sluggish and just rotten. It has been a while since I have had sugar. It really increases my anxious/nervous feelings.

When I finish tonight's message I am heading into the kitchen to pack a healthy lunch for tomorrow, and when they leave the sugar will too. I need to learn to just say no, because I can't just have a little.

In the last 20 years, sugar consumption in the U.S. has risen from 26 pounds to 135 lbs. of sugar per person per year! That is shocking!

When surfing around about this subject tonight I found this list of 144 things sugar does to your body. http://www.nancyappleton.com/NA144reasons.html Don't Panic! I don't want you to worry, but be informed. This is sugar in excess, but I am now going to put the cookie down.

Tomorrow morning I will go back to eating clean. I think I am going to ask for a dozen carrots for Valentine's Day this year!

Will you join me in kicking the sugar out of our diet? We will feel a lot better & our future will be better!

Wishing you peaceful thoughts today,
Amy
